Arts Commission calls for Lifetime Achievement Award nominations
Vancouver, WA Ė The Clark County Arts Commission is accepting nominations of local artists to be considered for the organizationís second annual Lifetime Achievement Award.
The original Aug. 29 deadline to submit nominations has been extended to Sept. 15.
The award formally recognizes an artist who lives in Clark County and has made a significant contribution to the field of arts and culture. The selection committee will be comprised of current commission board members.
To be eligible for nomination, the artist must:
ē Live in Clark County
ē Must be 60 or older
ē Be active in or recently retired from the visual, performing, film, architecture, literary arts, graphic design, commercial arts, arts education or arts advocacy fields
The nomination should include information on the artistís contribution locally, nationally and/or internationally, as well as descriptions of the quantity and quality of accomplishments. It also should discuss the artistís, or artistic groupís, demonstration of commitment to the development of cultural life in the county. Please be specific.
Photographs of works can be submitted only if the artist does not have a website.
