Beginning at 9 am Wednesday, Aug. 3, elections officials will perform a hand count of approximately 600 ballots randomly selected as part of a manual comparison against machine results.

For this comparison, the race for Congressional District 3 will be counted by hand, to check the accuracy of the ballot tabulation equipment. The selected ballots will be counted in the total returns on Election Day.

Vancouver, Wash. – Superior Court Judge David Gregerson has ordered that John Ley is an ineligible candidate for Washington state’s 18^th Legislative District State Representative Position No. 2 and directs the Clark County Canvassing board, in its certification of the 2022 primary election, to not include votes cast for Ley.

The 24-hour ballot drop boxes located at Battle Ground City Hall and I-5 at the Ridgefield exit have been moved to new locations.

The Battle Ground ballot drop box is now located at the Battle Ground Post Office at 418 W. Main Street  next to the blue USPS mailboxes.

The Ridgefield ballot drop box is now located at the Ridgefield Junction Park and Ride at 125 N. 65th Ave. on the north side of the parking lot.

Beginning Friday, July 15, Clark County Elections will mail ballots to all registered voters in Clark County.

If a voter does not receive a ballot by Thursday, July 21, they should contact the Elections Office at 564. 397.2345 to request a replacement ballot. Although replacement ballots may be requested in person at the Elections Office, staff encourages voters to request a replacement by email or by phone. After July 18, replacement ballots may also be requested or accessed electronically at VoteWA.gov to print out and return by mail or drop box.

At 2 pm on Wednesday, June 15, the Clark County Elections Office will conduct a logic and accuracy test of the programming to be used to tabulate ballots and the accessible voting units for the Aug. 2 primary and special election.

The test will be held at the Elections Office, 1408 Franklin St. Members of the news media, candidates and jurisdictions with measures on the ballot, and the public are invited to attend this test, which is required under Washington law.

Ballots will be mailed Friday, July 15.

Vancouver, Wash. - Following the close of business on Friday, May 20, 2022, after candidate forms have been verified for accuracy and qualifications, a lot drawing will be conducted for all races except Precinct Committee Officers to determine the order candidate names will appear on the official primary ballot.  

This public drawing will be held at 1408 Franklin Street, Vancouver, and may be witnessed by the news media, the public and by any candidate.

Vancouver, Wash. ‒ Every election, the Clark County Auditor’s Office provides an online and printed voters’ guide with information about candidates and ballot measures for voters to make an informed decision when voting. The voters’ guide includes statements by and photographs of candidates for elective offices as well as local ballot measures with supporting and opposing statements written by citizens.

Vancouver, Wash. - The filing period for citizens wishing to become candidates for elective office is rapidly approaching. Candidates are strongly encouraged to file their declaration online. The online period to file a declaration of candidacy will be available at clark.wa.gov/elections beginning at 9 am, Monday, May 16 and must be submitted by 4 pm Friday, May 20, 2022.

Beginning Friday, April 8, Clark County Elections will mail ballots to all registered voters who reside in the Evergreen School District and Ridgefield School District.
