Overwhelmed by Junk Mail and Phone Books delivered to your door? Here are some strategies you can use to reduce the amount of unwanted mail piling up in your mailbox and on your doorstep.

 

Catalogs & Phone Books

CatalogChoice.org is a website that enables you to remove your name from catalog mailing lists and telephone book delivery.  The website saves you the hassle of calling a particular company to request the catalog or phone book be discontinued.  Catalogs not listed on the website can be easily requested. 

Setting up a login and password is required - donations are suggested by are not required.  There is a wait for companies to receive notification and remove names from their mailing list.

YellowPagesOptOut.com is a website that enables you to request that no telephone books are delivered to your address.  Setting up a login and password is required.  Once the account is set up, you can select the number of telephone books you want, which includes "none".

 

Catalogs & Broadcast Advertisements

The Direct Marketing Association maintains a huge mailing list to which businesses and other organizations subscribe. to dramatically reduce your junk mail, send a post card with all variations of your name to the address below, and ask to be removed from the mailing list.
