Behavioral Health Program
The Clark County Behavioral Health Program works actively with community partners to provide services and support systems, and to address relevant issues towards reducing the impact of substance abuse in our community. Services are provided in a manner that respects individual's and families' dignity and choices.
Washington State Division of Alcohol & Substance Abuse community services treatment funds are allocated in accordance with the county plan to assure the best feasible access to appropriate services for individuals who are low-income. Services are first offered to persons within the following categories:
- Pregnant women
- Injecting drug users (IDUs)
- Parents with dependent children, including Child Protective Services (CPS) referrals
- Clients who have completed DASA-funded residential treatment and have further outpatient treatment prescribed in their treatment plan
Available adult and youth services
- Assessment and referral
- Outpatient alcohol and drug treatment
- Treatment programs specific to individuals with both mental health diagnosis and alcohol and drug addictions
- Treatment programs specific to pregnant, postpartum, and parenting women
- Childcare for clients while they are in treatment
- Opiate substitution treatment
- Outreach programs
- HIV/AIDS education and prevention
- Youth services also include substance abuse prevention and intervention programs, adolescent case management, and dual recovery outpatient services.
Housing Options
Housing is a foundational need. Clark County Community Services commissioned the compilation of the Housing Options report that identifies needs and available resources, and makes recommendations to help create housing options for people with behavioral health disorders.
