Accommodation Request by Persons with a Disability
Courthouse handicap parking is available at the 11th & Harney jury parking lot, 13th Street between the Courthouse and Public Service Center, and the Sheriff’s Building parking lot. Handicap-accessible entrance is located at the West entrance. Link to ADA Accommodations request form.
Compensation
Jury fees are set by the County Commissioners of each county. Clark County's current fee is $10 per day of service. Jurors are also reimbursed for round-trip mileage from their residence to the courthouse for each day they report for service. Mileage is automatically calculated through our system based on the address provided to the court. Checks are usually mailed two weeks after the completion of jury service.
Confidentiality
Juror information is considered confidential and will not be released unless by order of the court in which the juror has served on a trial.
Day Length
Court sessions generally run from 9 a.m. to 4:30pm but vary as determined by the trial Judge. Orientation days start times are typically 8:00am but can vary from 8:00am to 1:00pm. The jury information line will specify your report time. Orientation days typically end around 4:30pm, or until released by order of the court.
Disqualification from Jury Service
A juror is not qualified to serve if any of the following is true:
- The individual is less than 18 years of age.
- The individual is not a citizen of the United States.
- The individual is not a resident of Clark County.
- The individual is not able to communicate in the English language.
- The individual has been convicted of a felony and civil rights have not been restored.
- The individual is in custody of Washington Department of Corrections (DOC) or on DOC community custody.
If any of these reasons apply to you, please contact the Clark County Jury Administration Office to explain why you should be disqualified as a juror.
Length of Service
The term of service is one week or one trial--most trials last an average of three days, but occasionally they extend beyond one week. You are expected to be available the entire week of your term date.
No Smoking Allowed
The courthouse campus is a non-smoking facility.

Courthouse Location: Clark County Courts are located in the Clark County Courthouse at 1200 Franklin Street in downtown Vancouver.
Driving Directions to the Courthouse: From I-5 North or South, exit the freeway at the Mill Plain exit. Proceed west on Mill Plain to Franklin, and then south on Franklin Street to the Courthouse, located at the intersection of 12th Street and Franklin Street.
Public Transportation to the Courthouse: Jurors are encouraged to take public transportation to the Courthouse. Parking is limited. C-Tran provides bus service to downtown Vancouver. Routes can be found at www.c-tran.com.
Requesting an Excuse from Jury Service
If you have a hardship that prevents you from serving on jury service, the court prefers to reschedule you for a different week. Link to Excusing/Postponing Jury Service
Rescheduling Jury Service

Selection Process
The Master List is a combination of eligible Clark County residents ages 18 and over from the driver’s license list, voter registration list, and State Identification card holder’s list.
Social Media
The courts request that, both before and during jury service, prospective jurors refrain from reading or communicating about court cases.
Summons
Summons are sent to prospective jurors approximately 6 weeks prior to the date of service.

Employment verification for days served is available upon request through the Jury Administration Office.
