If you have legal custody of your child, and you wish to move (relocate) and take the child with you, Washington State law may require you to do certain things first.

Clark County's Family Court Facilitator program provides assistance to individuals who choose to represent themselves in matters dealing with many family law issues. The facilitator is available for in-person assistance by appointment for a fee.

- If you have legal custody of your child and you wish to move (relocate) and take the child with you.
- If you are a noncustodial parent with the right to time with the child under a parenting plan, and you want to try to stop the custodial parent from moving with your child. Additionally, if you are a third party with some right to time with the child, you have the right to try to stop any proposed relocation if you believe it would interfere with your relationship with the child.
