Commissioner Christopher D. Ramsay

Commissioner Ramsay was born in Illinois and subsequently lived in Arizona, New Jersey, and Colorado until 2004 when he moved to Vancouver WA. with his family.

 He graduated from Colorado State University, earning a degree in Political Science. He then earned his Law Degree from The University of Idaho. During Law School, Commissioner Ramsay started his legal career as a Rule 9 Intern at the Whitman County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in Colfax WA. He and his wife then moved to Denver Colorado where he spent two years as a Judicial Law Clerk in Denver County District Court. He then worked as an Associate Attorney for the Denver City Attorney’s Office Prosecution and Code Enforcement Section until moving to Vancouver, He then worked as an associate attorney for a law firm.  In 2006 he opened his private law practice in Vancouver where he practiced Criminal Defense, representing private and indigent clients in cases ranging from traffic tickets to homicide. 

Commissioner Ramsay was an adjunct professor at Metropolitan State College in Denver as well as Washington State University Vancouver where he taught undergraduate courses in Substantive Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure.
