Court Payments

Body

All legal financial obligations are payable in full upon resolution of the case, unless otherwise ordered by the court.

Payment options include cash, check, money order and credit card. People who are unable to pay the full amount when due may sign up with a court-authorized agency to set up a time payment plan (link below).

Payment of Infractions:

If you are delinquent or cannot pay your infraction by the due date, the Court may grant either more time to pay or can set Community Restitution as an option, at a set rate to be applied to qualifying Infraction amounts due the Court. You will first need to receive a print out from the Court of your case activity, then you will need to fill out the “Motion to Remove Fines from Collections, Extend Due Date, and Authorize Community Restitution” to ask the Court for those options. Email completed motion to ClarkCountyPublicService@clark.wa.gov.

Legal Financial Obligations (LFO's):

If you are delinquent or cannot pay your Criminal Legal Financial Obligation by the due date (note Infractions rules are different, see above), you can make a motion to the Court to: ask to have charges removed from collections, for more time to pay, converted to Community Restitution, or ask to have some or all of your legal financial obligations waived. You will first need to receive a print out from the Court of your case activity, then you will need to fill out the “Payment Review Motion for Legal financial obligations” and then email completed motion to ClarkCountyPublicService@clark.wa.gov.

Upon receipt of a properly completed motion, if you indicated on the LFO form that you wish to appear in Court to discuss this matter with a Judge, you will be notified by mail of your set court date. If not you will be notified of the Judge’s decision by mail.

*Please note failure to provide adequate contact information could delay your ability to obtain relief from the court
