Judge Peyton has been a resident of Clark County since 2006. She graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in English and then obtained her law degree from Willamette University College of Law. 

Judge Peyton has spent most of her career as an attorney focused on criminal defense.  She has served indigent clients in Clark County in a variety of ways including representation in therapeutic courts, civil commitment hearings, and juvenile court.  She was also in private practice focusing on guardianship law.  In addition, Judge Peyton has served on the board of the Clark County YWCA as well as volunteering in Clark County School Districts.  She has been a judge and rater for the Clark County Mock Trial Tournament and participated in George & Donald Simpson Inns of Court as well as the Clark County Bar Association.
