Clark County Elections received an application from candidate Don Benton for a partial manual recount of specific precincts involved for the Clark County Council District 5 Race.

Voters who have had their ballot rejected due to their signature on their envelope not matching the signatures contained in their voter registration record or because the signature is missing from their ballot return envelope may resolve those issues up until 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28.

Signature update forms are sent to all voters with rejected ballots with a letter explaining how they may resolve their signature issue so their ballot can be counted. The letter explains that voters have until 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28 to return the completed form, so their ballot may be counted.

Beginning at 9 am Wednesday, Nov. 9, elections officials will perform a hand count of approximately 600 ballots randomly selected as part of a manual comparison against machine results.

For this comparison, the race for United States Senator will be counted by hand, to check the accuracy of the ballot tabulation equipment. The selected ballots will be counted in the total returns on Election Day.

If a voter has not received their ballot, they should contact the Elections Office at (564) 397-2345 or elections@clark.wa.gov.

The Clark County Elections Office will be open 8 am to 2 pm Saturday, Nov. 5 to assist voters with the Nov. 8 General and Special Election.

The Elections Office is located at 1408 Franklin St. in downtown Vancouver. Parking is available in the adjacent parking garage at 1300 Franklin St. On-street parking also is available nearby. Metered parking is free on the weekends.

“Staff will be available to update voter addresses, register voters, offer replacement ballots and other last minute assistance voters may need,” said County Elections Director Cathie Garber.

Beginning Friday, Oct. 21, Clark County Elections will mail ballots to all registered voters in Clark County.

If a voter does not receive a ballot by Thursday, Oct. 27, they should contact the Elections Office at (564) 397-2345 to request a replacement ballot. Although replacement ballots may be requested in person at the Elections Office, staff encourages voters to request a replacement by email or by phone. After Oct. 24, replacement ballots may also be requested or accessed electronically at VoteWA.gov to print out and return by mail or drop box.

At 2 pm on Thursday, Sept. 29, the Clark County Elections Office will conduct a logic and accuracy test of the programming that is used to tabulate ballots as well as the accessible voting units for the November 8 General and Special Election.

The test will be held at the Elections Office, 1408 Franklin Street. This test is required under Washington state law before every election. Members of the news media, candidates, jurisdictions with measures on the ballot and the public are invited to attend this test.

Ballots for this election will be mailed on Friday, Oct. 21.

The Clark County Canvassing Board will convene at 2 pm Friday, Aug. 12, 2022, to canvass returns of the Primary and Special Election held on Aug. 2. The board will examine ballots, determine the status of voter intent issues and challenged ballots and perform other canvassing duties.

The board will meet to certify election results at 2 pm Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022.

All meetings will be held in the Elections Department conference room at 1408 Franklin St. This building is wheelchair accessible.

Vancouver, Wash. – Superior Court Judge David Gregerson has ordered that John Ley is an ineligible candidate for Washington state’s 18th Legislative District State Representative Position No. 2 and directs the Clark County Canvassing board, in its certification of the 2022 primary election, to not include votes cast for Ley.

The 24-hour ballot drop boxes located at Battle Ground City Hall and I-5 at the Ridgefield exit have been moved to new locations.

The Battle Ground ballot drop box is now located at the Battle Ground Post Office at 418 W. Main Street  next to the blue USPS mailboxes.

The Ridgefield ballot drop box is now located at the Ridgefield Junction Park and Ride at 125 N. 65th Ave. on the north side of the parking lot.
