Vancouver, Wash. ‒ At 10 am on Wednesday, Jan. 6, the Clark County Elections Office will conduct a logic and accuracy test of the programming to be used to tabulate ballots and the accessible voting units for the Feb. 9 special election.

The test will be held at the Elections Office, 1408 Franklin St. Members of the news media, jurisdictions with measures on the ballot and the general public are invited to attend this test, which is required under Washington law.

Ballots will be mailed Friday, Jan. 22.

Every election, the Clark County Auditor’s Office provides an online voters’ guide with information about candidates and ballot measures for voters to make an informed decision when voting. The voters’ guide includes statements by and photographs of candidates for elective offices as well as local ballot measures with supporting and opposing statements written by citizens.

Beginning at 9 am Wednesday, Nov. 4, elections officials will perform a hand count of approximately 600 ballots randomly selected as part of a manual comparison against machine results.

The selected ballots will be counted in the total returns on Election Day. But for this comparison, the President of the United States race will be counted by hand, to check the accuracy of the ballot tabulation equipment.

County Auditor urges voters to plan ahead to avoid long lines on election day

Beginning today, Tuesday, Oct. 27, residents needing to register to vote must do so in person at the Clark County Elections Office at 1408 Franklin St., Vancouver. Anyone who needs to receive a ballot for their new address must do so at the Elections Office. Elections Office hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. On Tuesday, Nov. 3, office hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Beginning Friday, Oct. 16, ballots will be in the mail to all registered voters in Clark County. If a voter does not receive a ballot by Wednesday, Oct. 21, please contact the Elections Office at (564) 397-2345 to request a replacement ballot.

Clark County Auditor Greg Kimsey reminds registered voters in Clark County that they do not need to request a mail-in ballot to vote in the upcoming general election.

“All registered voters in Clark county will receive ballots in the mail for the Nov. 3 general election,” said Kimsey.

Ballots for the general election will be mailed on Friday, Oct. 16.

Vancouver, Wash. – The Clark County Elections Office has added eight ballot drop boxes for the upcoming Nov. 3 general election. The county now has 20 ballot drop boxes available to voters 24-hours a day beginning Oct. 16.

“These additional drop boxes provide more options for voters to deliver their ballots,” said Auditor Greg Kimsey.
