Beginning at 10 am Wednesday, Nov. 8, elections officials will perform a hand count of approximately 600 ballots randomly selected as part of a manual comparison against machine results.

For this comparison, the race for City of Vancouver, Council Position No. 6 will be counted by hand, to check the accuracy of the ballot tabulation equipment. The selected ballots will be counted in the total returns on Election Day.

If a voter has not received their ballot, they should contact the Elections Office at (564) 397-2345 or elections@clark.wa.gov.

At the close of the regular candidate filing period on Friday, May 19, 2023, Clark County election officials had not received candidate filings for four elected offices: Town of Yacolt, Councilor, Positions 1 and 5; Green Mountain School District, Director, Position 1; and Clark County Fire Protection District 13, Commissioner, Position 3.

Beginning Friday, July 14, Clark County Elections will mail ballots to all eligible registered voters residing within the City of Battle Ground, City of Woodland, Clark County Fire District 3 and Clark County Fire District 4.

At 10 am on Wednesday, June 7, the Clark County Elections Office will conduct a logic and accuracy test of the programming that is used to tabulate ballots as well as the accessible voting units for the Aug. 1 Primary and Special Election.

The test will be held at the Elections Office, 1408 Franklin St. This test is required under Washington state law before every election. Members of the news media, jurisdictions with measures on the ballot and the public are invited to attend this test.

Ballots for this election will be mailed on Friday, July 14.

The filing period for citizens wishing to become candidates for elective office is rapidly approaching. Candidates are strongly encouraged to file their declaration online at clark.wa.gov/elections. The online period to file a declaration of candidacy will begin at 9 am, Monday, May 15 and ends 4 pm Friday, May 19, 2023.
