The five-acre Minnehaha Neighborhood Park property is currently undeveloped.   In 2023, we are beginning a master planning process as the first step to developing the park. The completed park will provide open space and recreational opportunities for neighbors. It will not be designed for use by organized sports leagues.

Planning, design, and construction of the park will take several years to complete. Neighbors will be invited to participate in the process and provide feedback throughout the process. This will include community surveys, open houses events and a public comment period. Residents will also be invited to suggest a new name for the park.

Funding

The project is funded by real estate excise taxes collected from the sale of homes in Clark County, and park impact fees paid by developers when new residential property is developed.

Preliminary Schedule

  • Park master plan development: 2023 – 2024
  • Design development: 2024-2025
  • Construction: 2025 – 2026
