Catherine Dawes, 27, a night clerk at the Minit Mart Quick Shop located at 10409 S.E. Mill Plain Road in Vancouver, was found deceased in the store’s back storage room. She had been bound and blindfolded. 

A customer called 911 after being unable to locate a clerk. Responding officers discovered Dawes inside the storage area. She had died from a gunshot wound to the head, and her death was ruled a homicide. 

The case remains unsolved.
