In May 1981, Elmer Swanson, 47, was last seen at the Orchards Tap Tavern, where he frequently gambled. Several months later, his body was discovered on the grounds of the former Clark County Aerodrome at 9115 N.E. 117th Avenue. 

Swanson died from blunt force trauma to the head. Investigators believe robbery was a likely motive in his homicide. The case remains unsolved.
