Juror Reporting

Reporting instructions for jurors summoned from May 23rd, 2022 through May 27th, 2022:

Jurors currently serving on a trial, please report as instructed by the judge.

No new jurors are required to report on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

All other jurors whose group numbers were not called should continue to check this website or the Jury Information line each evening after 5:00 pm for the duration of the service term.

Jurors should NOT report if they are:

  • feeling ill,
  • experiencing symptoms of COVID-19
  • have been exposed to COVID-19 in the last 5 days, or
  • have been instructed to quarantine.

Jurors experiencing illness or under quarantine are required to contact Jury Administration at 564-397-2049 or juries@clark.wa.gov to reschedule their jury service. If a juror reports for service and is ill, Jury Management staff will collect the badge number, send the juror home, and reschedule the juror for a later date.

Employer Responsibilities - Jury RCW 2.36.165

It is against the law, per RCW 2.36.165, for an employer to fire or demote or harass an employee because they serve as a juror.  RCW 2.36.165 (2) states "An employer shall not deprive an employee of employment or threaten, coerce, or harass an employee, or deny an employee promotional opportunities because the employee receives a summons, responds to the summons, serves as a juror, or attends court for prospective jury service." However, the law does not require that the employee be paid in full while serving.
