Solid waste education & outreach

A major function of the Clark County Regional Solid Waste System is to provide education and coordinate outreach efforts to the residents, businesses, and schools in Clark County. This work is key to conserving resources and protecting the environment and public health, which are the primary goals of the county's Solid Waste Program.

Composter Recycler Program

Composter Recycler Program

The Composter Recycler Program educates the community on waste reduction and recycling. Trained volunteers provide education through workshops, composting demonstration sites, worm bins in the classroom, and staffing booths at outreach events.

Green Business Program

Green Business provides onsite assistance and tools to support recycling and environmental initiatives at businesses. We are here to support networking events, waste reduction recommendations, practical resources, and to recognize Green Businesses through a certification process.

Green Neighbors Program

Green Neighbors provides information to Clark County residents about ways to live sustainably at home.  We are here to encourage leaving a light footprint on the earth by living in a way that reduces impacts on our natural world.

Green Schools Program

Clark County Green Schools works with all local public and private schools in their sustainability efforts. We are here to encourage environmental leadership and give students tools to implement change in their schools.
