The Clark County Board of Health is seeking applicants for three positions on the volunteer Public Health Advisory Council.
The board is accepting applications from Clark County residents for the following positions:

Clark County middle and high school students are invited to participate in Better You BINGO: A Healthy Coping Challenge for Youth by Youth. The challenge begins Tuesday, April 20 and ends Thursday, May 20.
• County Manager
The Clark County Charter Review Commission at its April 14, 2021, meeting appointed Camas resident Greg Anderson to fill an open seat in district 4, position 3.
The term begins immediately and ends Dec. 31, 2021, at the latest. District 4 is located primarily in the Northeast and Southeast part of the county.
• Treasurer
Clark County Treasurer Alishia Topper today announced she is accepting property tax deferral applications from business owners of real property who were financially impacted by COVID-19 in 2020. This program is a result of ESHB 1332 which provides for a deferral of 2021 property taxes through a payment agreement.
Governor Inslee on Friday morning signed the bill into law. The law contains an emergency clause and takes effect immediately.

Vancouver, Wash. – Clark County park users now have the convenient option to pay for parking before leaving home with the Flowbird mobile app. The Flowbird app is easy to use and provides peace of mind by offering:
- Contactless payment – park users no longer need to handle cash or interact with high-touch surfaces

Clark County Fire Marshal Dan Young has implemented a temporary burn ban that goes into effect at 12:01 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2021, and ends 12:01 am Friday, April 23, 2021. Clark County joins Washington State Department of Natural Resources and Skamania, Cowlitz, Pacific, Lewis and Wahkiakum counties in implementing this burn ban.
The burn ban applies to outdoor debris burning.
• Public Health
The COVID-19 vaccination site at Tower Mall will have more than 4,000 first-dose appointments available in the coming week. The site operates Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday, and will have about 1,000 first-dose appointments available for each of those days.
• Community Planning
Many older adults, along with people of all ages, were not prepared for the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. There have been many complexities to navigate, from figuring out how to get groceries and wearing masks to quarantining or becoming ill. During many emergencies, the Fire Department is the first on the scene to address immediate problems and the Red Cross comes next to help with early needs like food, shelter and emotional support.

Clark County Green Business’ free virtual workshop series continues this month with an event focused on waste prevention. The series began in late February and will conclude with an event in May.
