Legal Financial Obligations Orders
Individuals may petition the court to have fines and fees removed from collections; request more time to pay; and/or convert financial obligations to Community Restitution. Defendants in criminal cases may petition the court to waive legal financial obligations due to indigency.
Cost
There are no fees associated with filing an LFO Petition.
What you need to provide
You will need to make a request for an LFO Petition and answer the required questions. After the request is made, a fillable Petition form will be emailed to you to complete, sign and submit back. If you prefer the petition to be mailed, please indicate that in your request.
