Vancouver, WA – Acting County Manager Mark McCauley will present his first annual report to the Board of County Councilors at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, on the sixth-floor of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.
The county charter requires the county manager to make an “annual statement of fiscal and governmental affairs.”
Voters approved the charter in 2013. McCauley was named acting county manager at the end of 2014, after serving as county administrator since September 2013.
Vancouver, WA ‒ Clark County Public Health received a two-year, $100,000 grant from the United Stated Department of Agriculture’s Farm to School Program to pay for a project to connect Vancouver Public Schools students with more regionally sourced food and food system education. The grant takes effect Dec. 1.
Vancouver, WA ̶ Clark County is better prepared to care for small pets in an emergency thanks to a pet disaster relief trailer donated by local kennel clubs and a grant from a national American Kennel Club program.
The 16-foot-long, 7-foot-high trailer will be unveiled at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, during the Greater Clark County Kennel Club’s dog show at the Clark County Event Center, 17402 N.E. Delfel Road, Ridgefield.

On Monday, December 14, 2015, the Clark County Elections Department will begin taking candidate filings for the positions of commissioner for Drainage District No. 2, Drainage Improvement District No. 5 and Diking Improvement District No. 14. The filing period will begin at 8 am on Monday, December 14, and will end at 5 pm on Friday, December 18.
Vancouver, WA – Acting County Manager Mark McCauley is seeking volunteers to serve on the county’s Clean Water Commission.
Two positions are available, and terms run from January 2016 through January 2019.
The nine-member Clean Water Commission is an advisory group that makes recommendations to the Board of County Councilors about services, policies and financing to meet federal and state requirements for water quality, including stormwater management.
