At 2 pm on Monday, June 9, the Clark County Elections Office will conduct logic and accuracy tests of the programming of the accessible voting units and the programming that is used to tabulate ballots for the Aug. 5, Primary and Special Election.

The tests will be held at the Elections Office, 1408 Franklin St. These tests are required under Washington state law before every election. Members of the news media, candidates, jurisdictions with measures on the ballot and the public are invited to attend these tests.

The Clark County Elections Office will be closed to business all day Friday, June 6, due to construction activities related to the remodel of the building. The Elections Office will reopen Monday, June 9. 

The Elections Office regular hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday. The office is located at 1408 Franklin St.

Interested in running for public office? The filing period for citizens to become candidates for elective office is rapidly approaching. The offices open for candidate filings this year include 15 charter review commissioners, a superior court judge position, city and town council positions including mayoral races, school district director positions as well as commissioner positions for fire, cemetery, sewer, port, and recreation districts.

Beginning at 9 am Wednesday, April 23, elections officials will perform an audit of approximately 600 ballots randomly selected as part of a manual comparison against machine results.  

For this comparison, approximately 600 ballots from the Battle Ground School District proposition will be counted by hand, to confirm that the ballot tabulation equipment tabulated votes properly. The selected ballots will be counted in the total returns on Election Day. 

Beginning Tuesday, April 1, Clark County Elections will mail ballots to all eligible registered voters for the April 22, Special Election.

If a voter does not receive a ballot by Thursday, April 10, they should contact the Elections Office at (564) 397-2345 to request a replacement ballot. Replacement ballots may also be requested or accessed at VoteWA.gov to print out and return by mail or drop box. Email requests should be sent to elections@clark.wa.gov. The mailing address is Clark County Elections Office, PO Box 8815, Vancouver, WA 98666-8815.

The February voters’ guide includes local ballot measures with supporting and opposing statements written by citizens.
