• Auditor

All Clark County Auto Licensing offices including subagents will be closed Feb. 14-17 due to the Washington State Department of Licensing statewide system upgrades. In addition, online services such as License Express, registration renewals, driver, and vehicle/boat services will be unavailable Feb. 10-17, while DOL brings the system upgrades online. 


• Treasurer

Vancouver, Wash. – The next Clark County Finance Committee meeting is scheduled for 9:30 am Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, in the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Room 243.

Pursuant to RCW 42.30.030(2), which encourages public agencies to provide for public access to meetings, this meeting can also be viewed via Teams or joined telephonically. 


• Public Health

The Clark County Board of Health is extending the deadline to submit applications for a Public Health Advisory Council position representing the educational community. The term for the volunteer position begins as soon as it’s filled and ends Sept. 30, 2027. 


• Elections

Beginning at 9 am Wednesday, Feb. 12, elections officials will perform an audit of approximately 600 ballots randomly selected as part of a manual comparison against machine results.  

For this comparison, approximately 600 ballots from the Vancouver School District proposition will be counted by hand, to confirm that the ballot tabulation equipment tabulated votes properly. The selected ballots will be counted in the total returns on Election Day. 


• Community Planning

The Clark County Climate Project Environmental Justice Coalition will meet at 3:30 pm on Monday, Feb. 3. 


• Public Works

Clark County Public Works is beginning construction to upgrade pedestrian facilities on county roads. This work is part of the road preservation program and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements project. Improvements will include upgraded sidewalk curb ramps, added detectable warning surfaces and upgrades to associated pedestrian signals and/or pushbuttons.

Construction will begin in late January and completed by the first week of June. Construction activities will occur on between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays. 


• Community Services

All comments are welcomed and encouraged regarding a Notice of Intent to Request Release of Funds to the U.S. Department of Housing and Development for the Housing Preservation Program (HPP). 


• Community Services

Vancouver, Wash. – The county manager is seeking applicants to fill the position of a low-income representative from the county’s second district on the volunteer Community Action Advisory Board.

Term periods begin immediate and are three years, ending Dec. 31, 2027. Incumbents have the opportunity for re-appointment to two additional three-year terms. 


• Public Works

Clark County Public Works is working to increase the tree canopy in the Minnehaha neighborhood via a collaborative effort of Clark Conservation District, several Public Works divisions, local partners and state agencies.


• Elections

Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 22, Clark County Elections will mail ballots to all eligible registered voters for the Feb. 11, Special Election.

If a voter does not receive a ballot by Thursday, Jan. 30, they should contact the Elections Office at (564) 397-2345 to request a replacement ballot. Replacement ballots may also be requested or accessed at VoteWA.gov to print out and return by mail or drop box. Email requests should be sent to elections@clark.wa.gov.
