Vancouver, Wash. – Ballots are in the mail to all registered voters in County Council District 4; cities of Vancouver, Battle Ground, and Town of Yacolt; Vancouver Public Schools and Green Mountain School District; Emergency Management Services District 1 and East County Fire and Rescue for the upcoming Aug. 6 primary.

Vancouver, Wash. – The Election Offices in each of Washington State’s 39 counties have been working with the Office of the Secretary of State to develop and implement VoteWA – a new election management and voter registration system. An extraordinary effort has been made by the VoteWA implementation team to ensure that VoteWA will be implemented well in advance of the 2020 Presidential election.

Vancouver, Wash. ‒ At 10 am on Tuesday, June 18, the Clark County Elections Office will conduct a logic and accuracy test of the programming to be used to tabulate ballots and the accessible voting units for the August 6 primary and special election.
The test will be held at the Elections Office, 1408 Franklin St. Members of the news media, jurisdictions with measures on the ballot and the public are invited to attend this test, which is required under Washington law.
Ballots will be mailed Friday, July 19.

Vancouver, Wash. – Clark County Elections will be hosting its annual political party observer training from 6 to 8:30 pm Wednesday, June 5, 2019, in the Elections Conference Room at 1408 Franklin St. This training is for all persons interested in participating as a political party observer during an election cycle.
No person shall serve as an observer unless he or she has received this training.
Election observer training provides an overview of ballot processing, including the inspection process and the ballot counting equipment.

Vancouver, WA ‒ The Clark County Auditor’s Office provides a printed voters’ guide with information about candidates and ballot measures for voters to make an informed decisions when voting the ballot for each primary and general election. The voters’ guide includes statements by and photographs of candidates for elective offices as well as local ballot measures with supporting and opposing statements written by citizens.

The free workshop takes place on Tuesday, May 7, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Clark County Elections Office, 1408 Franklin St.

Vancouver, Wash. – Beginning at 8:30 am Wednesday, April 24, elections officials will perform a hand count of approximately 600 ballots randomly selected as part of a manual comparison against machine results.
The selected ballots will be counted in the total returns on Election Day. But for this comparison, the Ridgefield School District levy measure on those ballots also will be counted by hand, to check the accuracy of the ballot tabulation equipment.

Vancouver, Wash. – The Clark County Council is seeking nominations and applications to fill a vacant position on the three-member board that oversees Drainage Improvement District No. 5.
The district includes the western Hockinson area bounded generally by Northeast 132nd Avenue on the west, Northeast 99th Street on the south, Northeast 182nd Avenue on the east and Northeast 159th Street on the north.
Applicants must be property owners within the drainage improvement district and registered voters in the state of Washington.
