Clark County is seeking applicants to fill one open position on the nine-member Clark Communities Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee. The volunteer appointed to this position will fill an existing term which is scheduled to end on Dec. 31, 2025.
Winter brings high water levels and swift currents to area rivers and streams each year. High river levels occur annually in the rainy season (October through March) and during spring snow melt (April through June). These high flows can pose safety hazards to visitors at parks including (but not limited to) Lewisville, Moulton, Lucia Falls, Frenchman’s Bar and Daybreak regional parks, Captain William Clark Regional Park at Cottonwood Beach, and Haapa Boat Launch.
Beginning Friday, Jan. 26, Clark County Elections will mail ballots to all voters who reside in the Battle Ground School District, Camas School District, Green Mountain School District and the Woodland School District for the Feb. 13 Special Election.
On Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, at approximately 6:45 pm corrections officers at the Clark County Jail were conducting a routine security check when they found inmate Rodger Williams unresponsive and in need of medical attention due to an apparent suicide. CPR was promptly started, jail medical staff responded, and EMS was notified and responded to the jail.
The county manager is seeking applicants to fill several positions on the volunteer Community Action Advisory Board.
Positions include low-income representatives from the county’s third and fifth districts and a community representative from the county’s fifth district. A map of the districts is on the county website.
The Clark County Assessor’s office property tax exemption specialists will be available to answer questions and enroll property owners in the county’s property tax relief program at an upcoming public event.
The Tax Exemption Program for senior citizens and people with disabilities can reduce property tax liability for qualifying homeowners. Eligibility is based on age or disability, home ownership, residency and income. Participants are not required to repay the taxes, and their homes are not subject to property liens.

Vancouver, Wash. – Due to inclement weather, the Jan. 18 Clark County Planning Commission public hearing has been canceled.
The hearing has been rescheduled to Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024 at 6:30 pm.

PLEASE NOTE: Clark County Superior Court is closed for in-person services except for adult first appearance and juvenile first appearance dockets. Those will still be held in person. All other dockets will be canceled and rescheduled.
Any jurors who were required to appear on Wednesday Jan. 17 will be required to appear on Thursday, Jan. 18 instead.
