The Clark County Finance Committee is scheduled to meet at 9:30 am Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022.
The Clark County Finance Committee meeting is open to the public. The meeting will be offered both in-person and via a virtual meeting option pursuant to RCW 42.30.030(2), which encourages public agencies to provide for public access to meetings.

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the challenges of connecting older adults to resources, information and each other. These connection challenges existed before the pandemic and will continue into the future.
Learn how peer-to-peer educators are creatively conducting outreach with older residents, families, friends, and neighbors at the next meeting of the Commission on Aging, 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022. The meeting guest will be a representative from the Program to Encourage Active, Rewarding Lives (PEARLS) initiative.
The Clark County Canvassing Board will convene at 2 pm Friday, Aug. 12, 2022, to canvass returns of the Primary and Special Election held on Aug. 2. The board will examine ballots, determine the status of voter intent issues and challenged ballots and perform other canvassing duties.
The board will meet to certify election results at 2 pm Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022.
All meetings will be held in the Elections Department conference room at 1408 Franklin St. This building is wheelchair accessible.
The Clark County Board of Health is seeking applicants for a position on the volunteer Public Health Advisory Council.
The open position is for a nurse practicing in Clark County. The three-year term begins Oct. 1, 2022 and ends Sept. 30, 2025.
The advisory council meets 5:30-7:30 pm on the fourth Tuesday of every even month via Zoom. When in-person meetings resume, they will be 6-8 pm in the main conference room on the second floor of the Center for Community Health, 1601 E Fourth Plain Blvd.
The intersection of Northeast 99th Street at Northeast 94th Avenue will be closed beginning Monday, Aug. 15. Drivers will need to take a detour route to allow Clark County’s contractor to construct a new roundabout. A detour route map can be found on the project website.
The closure is expected to be in place no more than 40 days. Closure start and end dates are weather dependent.
Clark County Council is seeking applicants for an open seat on the Clark County Law and Justice council.
The open position is for a resident living in an incorporated city in Clark County.
The Law and Justice Council is established by law to help coordinate activities of the local criminal justice and develop a community corrections plan for local and state corrections services in the county.
The Northeast 10th Avenue roadway between Northeast 149th Street and Northeast 154th Street in the Salmon Creek area of Clark County is now open to through traffic.
Recently, the Clark County Council approved a change to Clark County Code exempting Washington State Parks Disabled Veteran Lifetime Pass holders from paying the parking fees charged at four county-regional parks. The exemption goes into effect on July 29.
Clark County Public Health has lifted its advisory at Lacamas Lake. The bloom of cyanobacteria at the lake dissipated and is no longer present.
The warning signs posted at the lake are being removed. However, harmful algal blooms may return as conditions change. Public Health encourages people swimming and recreating in the lake to watch for floating scum and avoid direct contact with water in those areas.
Neighbors and community members are invited to learn about proposed plans for the 179th Street corridor at an upcoming open house.
Public Works staff will host a hybrid open house from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 11.
