Beginning Tuesday, April 1, Clark County Elections will mail ballots to all eligible registered voters for the April 22, Special Election.

If a voter does not receive a ballot by Thursday, April 10, they should contact the Elections Office at (564) 397-2345 to request a replacement ballot. Replacement ballots may also be requested or accessed at VoteWA.gov to print out and return by mail or drop box. Email requests should be sent to elections@clark.wa.gov. The mailing address is Clark County Elections Office, PO Box 8815, Vancouver, WA 98666-8815. 

Clark County’s Composter Recycler program is offering a series of free in-person and online workshops about composting and sustainable living strategies. The series will teach participants how to reduce their impact on the planet through composting, green cleaning, recycling, food waste prevention and low waste living.

Public Works is planning to reconfigure the intersection of Northeast Delfel Road and Northeast 179th Street. The project will move the north leg of Northeast Delfel Road to the west to align with the south leg of Northeast Delfel Road and replace the existing traffic signal with a multi-lane roundabout. The March 26 Clark County Climate Project Community Advisory Group meeting has been canceled due to a severe weather watch. The meeting will be rescheduled to another time in the future. 

Clark County is joining more than 700 organizations across the world to support Food Waste Prevention Week. On March 18, the Clark County Council proclaimed April 7-13 to be Food Waste Prevention Week, a global movement to inspire cultural changes that reduce food waste at home, work and in communities.  

Clark County Community Services has initiated the development of the 2025-2030 Homeless Action Plan (HAP). This strategic plan will guide efforts to address homelessness over the next five years, establishing priorities and implementing strategies to improve housing stability throughout Clark County. The plan will go to the Clark County Council for adoption in November 2025. 

Vancouver, Wash. – The Clark County Assessor’s office property tax exemption specialists will be available to answer questions and enroll property owners in the county’s property tax relief program at upcoming event in Camas.

The Tax Exemption Program for senior citizens and people with disabilities can reduce property tax liability for qualifying homeowners. Eligibility is based on age or disability, home ownership, residency, and income. Participants are not required to repay the taxes, and their homes are not subject to property liens. 

The county manager is seeking applicants to fill the position of a low-income representative from the county’s second district on the volunteer Community Action Advisory Board.

Term periods start immediately and are three years, ending December 31, 2027. Incumbents have the opportunity for re-appointment to two additional three-year terms. 

Beginning in April, the East Fork Lewis River will be closed to boaters, fishers and other river users for three miles downstream from the lower portion of Daybreak Regional Park (downstream/west of Northeast Daybreak Road/82nd Avenue). The closure will allow for Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership’s contractor, Tapani, Inc., to construct the Lower East Fork Lewis River Reconnection Project.
