Vancouver, Wash. – The Central Transfer and Recycling Center will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 11 for scheduled maintenance. Residents who want to drop off garbage or recyclables on Wednesday will need to use the facilities in west Vancouver or Washougal.
The Central Transfer and Recycling Center, 11034 NE 117th Ave., will be closed all day Wednesday as crews replace the facility’s scale house. The center will reopen Thursday morning and operate regular business hours, 6 am to 6 pm.

Curtis Children’s Justice Center, CJC, is joining the National Children’s Alliance SHINE Campaign to bring the conversation about child sexual abuse out of the shadows. A public meeting of the Surface Mining Advisory Forum for Yacolt Mountain will be 6-7:30 pm, Thursday, Dec. 19, in room 680 on the sixth-floor of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St. This forum is part of a series of meetings regarding quarries in Clark County.

Vancouver, Wash. – The Clark County Permit Center will be closed for staff training and to catch up on permit applications Dec. 26 through Dec. 31. All county offices will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25 in observance of Christmas and Wednesday, Jan. 1 in observance of New Year’s Day.
