Clark County Public Health has launched a community survey to learn about the challenges and successes of raising young children in Clark County. The survey is part of a multi-phase project, Raising Clark County, that aims to help Public Health and community partners identify ways to build community supports for infants, young children, parents and caregivers.
County Manger Kathleen Otto yesterday announced her appointment of Eva Haney as the director of Clark County Public Works.
Neighbors and community members are invited to learn about upcoming construction on Northeast 68th Street, between Northeast Highway 99 and Northeast St. Johns Road, which serves a densely populated residential area. Much of the road segment has no sidewalks. This project will construct sidewalks between segments of existing sidewalks, and construct four crosswalks.
The Clark County Council today voted to begin holding its public meetings in a hybrid format with both in-person and virtual participation options for councilors and the public. This update to the public meetings will begin the week of April 11.
The council’s next public meeting will be the Public Hearing on the redistricting maps followed by Council Time on Wednesday, April 13 at 8:30am.

Clark County middle and high school students are invited to participate in a Virtual Game Night on Friday, April 15 from 6:30-8 pm.
Virtual Game Night is hosted by local youth for local youth as a way to connect and have fun in a safe environment while learning healthy coping skills through a variety of online games such as Skribbl.io, Escape Room, and Trivia Blooket. The games are played for fun but there will be opportunities to score some prizes.

Beginning Friday, April 8, Clark County Elections will mail ballots to all registered voters who reside in the Evergreen School District and Ridgefield School District.
The Clark County Law Library recently expanded its self-help kit collection with one tailored to default judgment in a civil lawsuit in Superior Court. The purpose of the kit is to ask for a default judgment when there is one defendant and they have not responded to the lawsuit, and less than one year has passed since service of the summons and complaint. It allows someone, after they’ve won a case, to get a court judgment for the amount of money they were requesting.
Clark County and the cities of Woodland and La Center are accepting applications to fill four positions on the Clark County Arts Commission.
The county is looking for one volunteer to fill the position for a member of the business community and one person who lives in unincorporated Clark County. La Center and Woodland are looking to fill the seats representing their respective jurisdictions.
Vancouver, Wash. – Clark County is responding to the need for a greater variety of housing options. The proposed Housing Options Study and Action Plan identifies housing challenges within the unincorporated Vancouver Urban Growth Area and includes recommended strategies as solutions to support a wider range of housing options affordable to a variety of household incomes. The strategies are recommendations only and will require County Council direction to move forward with implementation. Many of the strategies require a separate legislative approval process to be implemented.
