Clark County Elections received notification from the Office of Secretary of State that Joe Kent provided a written application requesting a machine recount for the 3rd Congressional District race from the November general election.

The Clark County Canvassing Board met at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, to schedule the machine recount. The machine recount consists of examining all undervotes in that race per WAC 434-264-055 and has been set to begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15. The review of undervoted ballots in this race will continue until all ballots are reviewed, or the applicant has filed a written request to stop the machine recount.

The Canvassing Board will reconvene at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, to certify the amended abstract of the machine recount.

Final recount results will be posted on the County Elections’ website at www.clark.wa.gov/elections/results.
