The Clark County Charter Review Commission has scheduled two town hall sessions to discuss proposed amendments to the county charter for consideration of placing onto the 2022 general election ballot.
The virtual town hall meetings will be held on WebEx and are anticipated to last approximately one hour. The starting times are as follows:
Clark County Community Services this week announced it will end its contract with Beacon Health Options and no longer provide Designated Crisis Responder (DCR) services as of Dec. 31, 2021. Effective Jan. 1, 2022, SeaMar-Community Services NW (CSNW) will assume the contract with Beacon Health Options to staff and deliver DCR services in Clark County.
The Clark County Finance Committee is scheduled to meet at 9:30 am Tuesday, Nov. 09, 2021.

Clark County has implemented and currently operates eviction prevention rent assistance programs to assist people who are low-income impacted by the pandemic. These programs have provided an unprecedented $29.5M in financial assistance to 3,787 households, paying for 31,173 months of rent and utilities since August 2020. Approximately $750,000 in financial assistance for rent and utilities is going out to about 100 additional households each week.

The Clark County Council last week approved an ordinance to implement a commercial property assessed clean energy and resiliency (C-PACER) program. The program provides a financing mechanism to encourage the installation of renewable energy systems, energy efficiency improvements, and resiliency improvements on large multi-family residential, industrial, agricultural and commercial properties.
Clark County recognizes that older adults are valuable contributors to the vitality of this community. To encourage and support older adults for their contributions to their communities, the Clark County Commission on Aging established a program to recognize older adults who go above and beyond in service.
The county manager is seeking applicants to fill three pending vacancies on the Clark County Development and Engineering Advisory Board, DEAB. The positions are open to professionals associated with land development, private-sector development engineering, and construction contracting.
The terms for all three positions are three years beginning Jan. 1, 2022 and ending Dec. 31, 2024.
The advisory board reviews policy and county code changes and works on process improvements and fees with the county’s Community Development, Community Planning and Public Works departments.
The Clark County Council is seeking applicants to fill five vacancies representing the active farming community on the Clark County Farm Advisory Committee for 2022.
The term for this committee is one year from January through December and shall convene a minimum of once per year.
The Clark County Treasurer’s Office announced that Treasurer Alishia Topper will be re-opening a drive-through tax payment drop-off window for the last two days of the tax season.
The drive-through kiosk is located at the east parking structure entrance at the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St. The kiosk will be open from 9 am to 4 pm on Friday, Oct 29, and Monday, Nov. 1.
