Regular drivers along Northeast Munch Road from Northeast 414th Street to Northeast Cedar Creek Road will need to take an alternate route while crews work on a road safety project. Work will begin Monday, July 18.

Drivers should take an alternate route during the closure and adhere to posted detour signage while in the project area. During construction, local access will be maintained for residences and emergency vehicles.

With summer in full swing, many residents will visit Klineline Pond at Salmon Creek Regional Park to beat the heat.  However, this year Klineline Pond will not have lifeguards on duty.

Clark County is accepting applications to fill four vacancies on the seven-member Parks Advisory Board. All four terms begin immediately. Three of the terms end Dec. 31, 2024, and one ends Dec. 31, 2025.

Board members serve three-year terms. Upon expiration of a term, a member can apply again. There is no limit on how many terms a member can serve.

Vancouver, Wash. – Neighbors and community members are invited to learn about the upcoming Northeast 152nd Avenue project.

Captain William Clark Regional Park at Cottonwood Beach is closed effective immediately. Excessive rain has caused flooding on the Columbia River. The river has reached the steps of the park’s south trailhead making it unusable for trail users.

Once the water starts to recede, Public Works will inspect the park to determine when the beach can reopen.

Dike Trail and assets to the north of it remain open.

A portion of Northeast Davis Road will be closed for construction beginning Monday, June 20. Regular drivers along Northeast Davis Road approximately 0.6 miles east of Ward Road, just south of Hockinson will see road closure message signs beginning Monday, June 13. Drivers will need to take a detour route during the closure. A detour route map can be found on the project website.

The closure is expected to be in place until no later than mid-November 2022. Closure start and end dates are weather dependent.

Clark County Public Works began construction of an 18-hole disc golf course, pedestrian bridge and a shelter at Hockinson Meadows Community Park in May. Public Works expects to begin significant field work at the park later this month pending receipt of building materials.

Stormwater Partners is proud to announce the winning entries for its second annual Students for Clean Water Video Contest. Clark County middle and high school students submitted more than 60 videos for the contest. A $500 first place and $100 honorable-mention prize has been awarded for each of the following videos in five categories:

Clark County will begin construction on Kozy Kamp Neighborhood Park on Monday, June 6. The park is located at 17410 Northeast 29th Avenue, south of Northeast 179th Street in the Fairgrounds Neighborhood.

The completed Kozy Kamp Neighborhood Park will include a playground, multi-purpose sport court, a paved and accessible loop trail, open lawn play area, and picnic tables and benches. Additionally, improvements will be made at the park boundary with Northeast 29th Avenue.
