A portion of Northeast Davis Road will be closed for construction beginning Monday, June 20. Regular drivers along Northeast Davis Road approximately 0.6 miles east of Ward Road, just south of Hockinson will see road closure message signs beginning Monday, June 13. Drivers will need to take a detour route during the closure. A detour route map can be found on the project website.
The closure is expected to be in place until no later than mid-November 2022. Closure start and end dates are weather dependent.
Davis Bridge is a single span concrete girder bridge that is now structurally deficient due to scouring of the material under the west abutment. This closure will allow Clark County’s contractor to remove the existing bridge and replace it with a new structure.
Construction is anticipated to cost $1,521,000. County Road Funds in the amount of $816,000 and Real Estate Excise Tax funds of $705,000 have been identified to fund the project.
