Vancouver, Wash. – Weather forecasts for the greater Clark County area suggest the potential for continued snow-and-ice conditions over the next several days. Crews with Clark County Public Works’ maintenance operations team have been out pre-treating county roads with saline anti-icer, a mix of salt and water, which prevents a bond from forming between the pavement and the snow. Roads need to be bare and dry to effectively apply the anti-icer combination.

Vancouver, Wash. – Annual parking passes for four of Clark County’s biggest, most popular parks will go on sale Tuesday, Dec. 7.

2022 passes cost $30 and will be valid at Frenchman’s Bar Regional Park, Lewisville Regional Park, Salmon Creek Regional Park/Klineline Pond and Vancouver Lake Regional Park.

Clark County is accepting applications to fill four vacancies on a seven-member Parks Advisory Board for terms that begin Jan. 1, 2022.

Board members serve three-year terms. Upon expiration of a term, a member can apply again. There is no limit on how many terms a member can serve. The Parks Advisory Board advises the Clark County Council and county staff on parks planning, acquisition, development and related issues. Applicants must be residents of Clark County.

Vancouver, Wash. –Clark County is seeking applicants to fill one open position on the Clean Water Commission.

Terms for the open positions begin January 2022 and end December 2024.

The nine-member advisory group makes recommendations to the Clark County Council about services, policies and financing needed to meet federal and state requirements for water quality and stormwater management improvements.

The term begins immediately and ends Dec. 31, 2021.

Applicants can live anywhere in Clark County. Residents with expertise and background in environmental issues are encouraged to apply.

Clark County is seeking applicants to fill five positions on the nine-member Clark Communities Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee.

Volunteer service will be a four-year commitment. Residents living anywhere in Clark County can apply.

People with experience and expertise in advocating for biking, walking, transit, active transportation, mobility issues, public speaking or serving on boards and commissions are encouraged to apply.

Vancouver, Wash. – For the 14th consecutive year, the Salmon Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant received the Wastewater Treatment Plant Outstanding Performance award from the Washington State Department of Ecology.

Vancouver, Wash. – Clark County Public Works will reopen picnic shelter reservations for the remainder of the 2021 season, and most of the 2022 season, effective Tuesday, July 13.

Park goers can reserve their favorite picnic shelters at Clark County parks between Aug. 1 and Sept. 30, 2021. Those planning in advance can now make their reservations up to 12 months in advance for events held between May 1, and Sept. 30, 2022.

Vancouver, Wash. – Clark County Public Works is seeking applicants to fill up to 24 available positions on two Camp Bonneville Advisory Committees.

With approval from the Clark County Council, Public Works established two advisory committees to inform and make recommendations for the Master Planning process for Camp Bonneville.

The Technical Advisory Committee will consist of eight to 12 members with expertise and background in:

The Clark County Bike and Pedestrian Committee is seeking public input to help identify and prioritize safety improvements for cyclists in Clark County. Clark County residents are asked to take a 17-question survey that will help Clark County Public Works and Public Health identify areas and projects to increase cyclist safety throughout the county. The survey opens on July 1, 2021, and will close Jan. 1, 2022.
