Interpreter Meetings In Person or via Zoom
Interpreter meetings for out-of-court matters may be requested by court appointed attorneys, guardians ad litem, probation officers, etc. Please send a request to our interpreter office by utilizing the online Interpreter Request Form at least 5-7 business days in advance, for our office to secure an interpreter.
Interpreter Request Form
If your request is via Zoom, the Interpreter Services office kindly requests meeting links be created by the requesting party. The meeting links may be included in the Interpreter Request form upon submission, or sent directly to the Interpreter Coordinator at the following address: DistrictCourtIntCoor@clark.wa.gov
Should the requesting party be unable to create a meeting link for the interpreter, please reach out to the Interpreter Coordinator for assistance.
Translations and Forensic Transcription Translation (FTT) Requests
The Interpreter Services office can assist with translation and forensic transcription translation requests on an as needed basis. This includes translations of documents, emails, and court notices, as well as forensic transcription translation of body worn camera footage or other audio. To request these services, please fill out the interpreter request form detailing your request as well as the timeline by which it would be needed, and the interpreter services office will follow up to request any additional information.
Please note, forensic transcription translations (FTT) take a considerable amount of time and skill to complete which can make it difficult to find an interpreter who is willing and able to complete the request. The average forensic transcription translation takes about one hour for every minute of audio/footage. Due to the complexity of these requests, our office asks requests for forensic transcription translations be submitted at least four weeks in advance of the deadline.
