Vehicle

When you sell a vehicle, you are required by law to report the vehicle sold within 5 days of the sale. A report of sale does not transfer ownership but may protect the seller from civil liability if the buyer fails to transfer ownership. You may file the report online or file in person at a licensing office. There is a fee of $18.00 both online and in person to file. 

Vessel

You may file the Vessel Report of Sale online at no fee. You are required to report a vessel sold within 5 days of the date of sale. Licensing offices cannot file this report for you.
