Justin Rielly, shown above with Christine Simonsmeier, Juvenile Court Services Administrator, is the 2018 Juvenile Detention Officer of the Year, voted by his peers as most worthy of the honor.  As a rookie, Justin passed a grueling, 2-week-long Defensive Tactics Instructor course at the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Academy!  He has since become the instructor of our juvenile facility's twice-yearly classes in defensive tactics, earning the title of Juvenile Detention Officer of the Year.  Way to go, Justin!
