Clark County Juvenile Recovery Court is a program focused on reducing substance abuse and criminal behavior in youth while increasing personal responsibility through intense court intervention and treatment. Frequent drug testing, drug treatment, court appearances, sanctions and rewards are used to promote long-term sobriety, accountability and productive lifestyles.
Juveniles with substance abuse problems that have gotten in trouble with the law are accepted into this specialty program by order of the Court, if they meet the eligibility and screening requirements.
A key component of Recovery Court is the focus on alcohol/drug treatment. When a youth enters the program, they, and usually their parents, are required to participate in an intensive treatment program.
