Wage incentives after probation

Upon successful completion of probation, employees with college degrees are eligible for the following wage incentive:

• AA = 2%
• BA/BS = 4%
• MA = 6%
• Firearms qualification wage incentive = 5% (upon completion of agency firearms training)
• $100/month bilingual incentive pay

Perfect schedule for individuals with active and busy lives

Primary schedule after successful completion of the academy is 4 days on 4 days off (12 hour shifts). Benefits of the 4 on 4 off shift:

• Work only 182 days a year
• Only work 4 days in a row
• 4 consecutive days off after every 4 days of work

• Schedule is stable and predictable

   

Academy, training and opportunities

• Get paid to attend training at the academy
• Paid during Field Training (OJT in the jail)
• Ongoing training and development through entire career
• Promotional and specialty unit opportunities after successful probation

• All equipment and uniforms are supplied and paid for by the agency
