Inmate Money
Once a week, inmates may purchase various items to use or consume. This is called commissary and may include candy, snacks, personal hygiene items, clothing, mailing and writing materials, as well as other miscellaneous items. There may be item restrictions for medical, mental health or disciplinary reasons. Costs for these items are deducted from their inmate account.
When someone is booked into the Clark County Jail, any cash that they have will be deposited into their inmate commissary account. Any purchases made while in custody are deducted from this account.
Upon release, all remaining funds are received via a debit card, which is attached to all the release paperwork and property.
Friends and family may add money to an inmate's account by using the kiosk in the Main Jail lobby (cash only), online, over the phone, or through the app. For more details or to set up an account contact Access Corrections Customer Service.
