Councilor Yung is a successful entrepreneur who, after a decade in the financial industry, created and operates a family remodeling business together with his wife in Vancouver. He is deeply committed to community service and actively participates in various organizations such as the Executive Board of National Alliance on Mental Illness SW WA, Vancouver Neighborhood Alliance, Vancouver Task Force for Council Representation and Community Advisory Committees. Councilor Yung has a diverse educational background, including studies at Mt. Hood Community College and Kaiser-Wilhelm Ratsgymnasium in Hannover, Germany, and is fluent in German. In addition to his business, Councilor Yung, his wife, and his five children have hosted many foster children over the years and enjoy cooking hot meals together weekly for the unsheltered.
