About Michelle Belkot

Personal

Michelle Belkot was elected as County Councilor of District 2 in November 2022 and took office in January 2023.  Councilor Belkot was raised in Vancouver and attended Hudson’s Bay High School.  She graduated from George Fox University with a bachelor’s degree in Management and Organizational Leadership, and from Webster University, with a master’s degree in Management and Leadership.

She served in the United States Air Force and the United States Navy, for a combined 25 years of service in many command leadership roles. Councilor Belkot has spent the majority of her professional career as a civil servant, with over two decades in acquisition and procurement of multi-million-dollar construction and architect and engineering contracts, budget management, planning and zoning policies, advisory boards, and county ordinances.

Councilor Belkot and her husband have two young sons, who dedicate their time to playing various sports and spend family time exploring the Northwest.
