Vancouver, WA – The Board of County Councilors is seeking applicants for three positions on the Railroad Advisory Board.
The term for one position began Jan. 1, 2015 and will conclude Dec. 31, 2017. The two other positions are for unexpired terms that conclude Dec. 31, 2015 and Dec. 31, 2016.
The Railroad Advisory Board advises the county about its 33-mile railroad typically known as the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad. The 15-member board considers how to best achieve long-term return on investment in the railroad, leverage the railroad as an economic development asset, and address concerns of stakeholders and constituents affected by the railroad.
Meetings are 4-5:30 p.m. on the second Monday of each month. They are in the sixth-floor hearing room of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.
The county seeks applicants with experience in industrial real estate development, industrial real estate brokerage, land-use law and neighborhood association participation.
