Virtual State of the County 2021 address, NACCC award available online

Clark County Council Chair Eileen Quiring O’Brien last night presented the State of the County 2021 address in a pre-recorded video. The presentation premiered on CVTV.

The address now is available for viewing on CVTV.org and channel 23/323. See CVTV.org for air times. The video also can be viewed on the county’s YouTube channel and its Facebook page.

In the address Chair Quiring O’Brien discussed the county’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges and successes over the past year.

Also included in the recording is the Neighborhood Associations Council of Clark County virtual presentation of its annual Outstanding Clark County employee award for 2020. Stephan Abramson, NACCC president presented the 2020 award to Dr. Alan Melnick, Clark County health officer and Public Health director.

In past years, NACCC has presented this award at the opening of the State of the County event.

The county did not hold its traditional in-person State of the County event in order to follow COVID-19 safety protocols.
