At the close of the regular candidate filing period on Friday, May 21, 2021, Clark County election officials had not received candidate filings for one elected office: Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue, commissioner, position number 5.

Pursuant to Washington state law, an additional special three-day filing period must be held for these offices.

The Auditor’s Office has scheduled the special filing period to begin at 8 am Wednesday, Aug. 4, and end at 5 pm Friday, Aug. 6, 2021. Anyone meeting the qualifications of the office and wishing to file can do so at the Clark County Elections Office, 1408 Franklin St., Vancouver.

Candidates may also file online at clarkvotes.org. Online filing hours are 9 am Wednesday, Aug. 4, to 4 pm Friday, Aug. 6, 2021.
