Court Pro Tempore Applications
A Pro Tempore Judge or Commissioner is often referred to as a "Pro Tem".
Pro tem judges and commissioners are appointed to calendars and serve at the pleasure of the Clark County Superior Court Judges. Pro tem judges and commissioners are temporary, at-will appointees ad any service for which the appointee may be called is at the sole discretion of the Court.
Appointments are made by the Clark County Superior Court judges only for a calendar year. Individuals wishing to continue to serve as pro tem commissioners shall reapply each year.
Pro Tempores are most often used for the following dockets:
- Juvenile Criminal
- Truancy/CHINS/ARY
- Dependency
- Family Treatment Court
- Safe Babies Court
- CPO/Anti-Harassment
- Show Cause
- Finalization
- Pro Se
- Child Support
- ITA
- Unlawful Detainer
- Drug Court
The Clark County Superior Court is currently accepting applications for 2025
Applications must be received no later than December 6, 2024
