Separate Business:

  1. Request approval to repurpose Public Defense ARPA funds and to move Public Defense General Fund Controllables to Salary and Benefits to make the Public Defense position permanent.

  2. Request approval authorizing the County Manager to sign the 2024 Public Defense contracts for District Court Misdemeanors and Probation Violations and Superior Court Felonies, Felony Probation Violations and Fugitive/Extradition Matter with Columbia Law Group and Mark Tyler. In addition, request preapproval for expense authority for these contracts as identified in the 2024 Fall Budget Supplemental.

  3. Request approval of a resolution to formalize the County Manager or County Manager’s designees the authority to participate, on the County’s behalf, in the governance of the Daybreak Sky Ranch Homeowner’s Association, including authority to vote on behalf of the County on any matters of association business that may come before the membership of the association.

  4. Request approval authorizing the County Manager to sign and execute a new Interagency Agreement, and any future amendments, between Clark County and the City of La Center for Law Enforcement Services and acknowledge contracted revenue and expense commitments amount to $5,332,507. In addition, request preauthorization of budget capacity appropriations for the Sheriff’s Office to hire staffing and purchase equipment and vehicles for positions to be formally adoption in the 2024 Fall Budget Supplemental.
