Brian is a second-generation Clark County Deputy Sheriff and has served with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office for 24 years. During his tenure, he has served as a Cadet, Patrol Deputy, Field Training Officer, Emergency Vehicle Operations Instructor, Crisis Negotiator, Narcotics Detective, Patrol Sergeant, Field Training Coordinator, Tactical Detective Unit Sergeant, Traffic Unit Sergeant, Chief Enforcement Deputy, and Undersheriff. In 2021, Brian was awarded the Supervisor of the Year Award for designing and developing a training and career development program for aspiring detectives within the agency.
Brian also served for several years on the Clark County Deputy Sheriff’s Guild Executive Board, including as an Executive Board Member, Secretary, Vice President, and, most recently, President. He currently serves as an Executive Peer Supporter with the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs’ Executive Peer Support Team, which provides qualified, confidential peer support and resources to current and retired law enforcement executives throughout Washington State.
Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from Washington State University and is a graduate of the FBI Northwest Command College and the FBI National Academy (Session 294). Born and raised in Vancouver, Brian enjoys woodworking, camping, and golfing in his free time.
