Sheriff Horch grew up in Clark County and has devoted his life to public service since 1989 with the Clark County Sheriff's Office. Before being elected as the 35th Sheriff, he worked in multiple positions including Chief Enforcement Deputy, Drug Task Force Commander, Major Crimes, Search and Rescue, Internal Affairs Supervisor, Field Training Officer, Bomb Technician, Warrants, Sergeant, Detective, and Patrol Deputy.
Sheriff Horch graduated from Hudson's Bay High School and holds a bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership. He is also a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) National Academy.
He is married and has four children. They attend New Heights Church and support many non-profits such as Young Life, Child Justice Center, Police Activities League, Santa's Posse, Clark County Food Bank, and Lifeline Connections.
The Sheriff enjoys hiking, golfing, and elk hunting during his off-time. He and his wife also love traveling to new places.
