1. Emergency Rehabilitation
The Emergency/Minor Home Repair Program provides services to repair home health and safety issues. A maximum of $8,000 is available for repairs to eligible homeowners through a deferred payment loan with a zero percent (0%) interest rate. Owners of mobile homes on leased land may receive a maximum $8,000 grant for emergency repairs, if qualified.
To be eligible, the household income must not exceed 60% of the area's median family income, as established by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
2. Full Rehabilitation
The maximum amount available for financial assistance is $40,000, available as a low-interest, deferred payment loan. After the rehabilitation is completed, the home must meet minimum housing quality standards. To be eligible, the household income must not exceed 80% of the area's median family income, as established by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
