Clark County District Court began mandatory electronic filing on September 1, 2013 (LGR 30). Information and registration forms are available at: www.clark.wa.gov/courts/district/efiling.html
NEW CIVIL CASES may be efiled after a case number has been assigned and the filing fee has been paid. To obtain a case number, email District Court at DistrictCourtCivil@clark.wa.gov
Each new case should be efiled separately. A new case consists of a Complaint, Summons, Case Cover Sheet, and should be efiled together as one document. The Complaint should come first, then the Summons, and lastly the Case Cover Sheet.
Note: Civil case numbers purchased are non-refundable and must be used within the calendar year they are purchased.
FILING FEES may be paid:
- Online with debit or credit card via Point & Pay. There is a limit of 10 payments maximum per transaction. A fee of approximately three percent (3%) is charged when making a card payment.
- Cash or check is accepted at District Court Administration located at 1200 Franklin St. Vancouver, WA 98660. Office hours are 8:00am-4:30pm, Mon– Fri, closed legal holidays.
- Checks can be mailed to Clark County District Court at PO Box 9806 Vancouver, WA 98666-8806. Checks should be made payable to Clark County District Court.

PLEADINGS & OTHER PAPERS shall be efiled separately. This refers to filings that are formatted in accordance with rule GR14. These filings should have a title, case number and case caption (i.e. Declarations, Affidavits, Returns of Service, etc.).
EXHIBITS may not be efiled.
WRITS OF GARNISHMENT should be efiled separately from the Affidavit/Application for Writ of Garnishment. Court issued Writs may be filed by mail or electronically. Conformed copy of court issued writs will be mailed to you.
EX PARTE PLEADINGS should be efiled separately (i.e. Motions / Declarations/ Orders). Make sure the case number is correct and that totals add up correctly.
Copies of orders will be returned electronically to the registered user’s primary email address.
HEARING CITATIONS/NOTICES should be efiled no less than five (5) court days before the hearing, per rule CRLJ 5. Hearings must be scheduled with the assigned Judge to the case. DOCUMENT REQUESTS (i.e. certified copies, Transcripts of Judgment, Exemplified copies of Judgment) may be efiled with a copy of your payment confirmation, receipt or submitted in writing with a check or money order and a self-addressed postage paid envelope.
